Elephant's Trunk
Ergonomics in action. The Elephant’s Trunk harness puts an end to those aching arm and shoulder muscles. The whole of your torso supports the hedge trimmer; and by adjusting the tension of the spring in the reel the apparent weight of the hedge trimmer is reduced to no more than 1.5 kg. The harness can be used on all hedge trimmers (or other tools) and because the cable can wind in and out you can use it at all heights. Wood Chipper GTM 1300
The big brother takes material up to 8.5 cm (3 1/2") and has a wider hopper mouth to minimise trimming of side branches. The drum-mounted blades powered by the 13 hp engine pull the work through rapidly and send the chips where you want them. Both sizes of machine are available with a choice of Mitsubishi or GTE engine; electric start is an option on the 1300. And still at a price well below expectation. See specifications to the left.
Rattlewedge
The Rattlewdge is a clever piece of kit bringing safety and comfort to felling operations, particularly at height. Instead of taking a wedge and mallet aloft hang this on your belt. When you're ready to wedge the back cut simply ratchet it in where required. No more swinging mallets and wonky, stuck wedges; if it isn't quite right just reverse the ratchet and out it comes, ready for repositioning. Fast and effective.
